Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that relies on a collaborative team effort to improve performance by systematically removing waste. Lean Six Sigma follows the DMAIC process: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control.
These process steps are used to address a specific problem or tackle an organizational project. Also know Lean Six Sigma is not just for manufacturing, in term of goods or raw materials. It applies equally well to traditional “white-collar” work, such as office or service industries. In fact, many of these environments have a tremendous amount of waste that can be eliminated by Lean practices.
